Senior Manager – Supply Chain Analytics (Client Role)
Maven Advisors is currently conducting a client search for a Senior Manager of Supply Chain Analytics within our client’s Chicago based headquarters. This role will lead a team of analysts to conduct advanced analytical activities for the Replenishment organization while providing cross-functional support for Logistics, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Sales. This position owns the relationship with all Replenishment business partners and will help align competing priorities to evolve business strategies that optimize overall Replenishment objectives. The Senior Manager will provide innovative and impactful insights and recommendations to business stakeholders and senior leadership.
The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Analytics will standardize analytics and implement processes around the identification and communication of insights to the business. This role will also partner with the training team to enable business stakeholders on the use of available reporting, visualization and analytics applications. In addition, this role will provide thought leadership on areas of tools and report development and support the deployment and value realization strategy for all supply chain analytics programs.
The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Analytics will serve in a critical supporting leadership role collaborating with peer managers and senior analytics leaders, such as the Data Science Director, Decision Science Director, and Business Analytics Director to identify improvements in analytics, reporting, software requirements, and data management.
Position: Senior Manager of Supply Chain Analytics
Location: Near Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, IL
Compensation: Competitive base plus 25% bonus
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics or related quantitative field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred
Travel: Available for occasional travel as business requires (less than 5% of time)
Supervision: 8 Business Analysts
Business / Leadership Experience: Minimum 10 years progressive experience in analytical roles in CPG, retail, hospitality, supply chain, distribution/transportation or large B2B services or other vertical with a high volume of transactional data strongly preferred. Subject matter expertise in one or multiple Supply Chain domain areas such as purchasing, inventory, demand planning, forecasting, and warehouse capacity management is greatly beneficial. 5+ years of demonstrated leadership in managing direct and/or indirect reports and 5+ years of hands-on project management experience managing small to mid-sized projects with broad stakeholder involvement. Experience managing the business relationship among multiple senior level business stakeholder (Director/VP) with potentially conflicting priorities is essential.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency working with visualization tools and analytic technologies such as Tableau, Qlik, and SAS is required. Deep understanding of Supply Chain planning systems like JDA and Manugistics highly preferred. Knowledge working in cloud-based data environments and platforms such as AWS and Snowflake also helpful.
